4 billion years in the making
The meteorite stone used on AKVA METEORITE comes from the Swedish "Muonionalusta" meteorite.
The Muonionalusta meteorite was found in 1906 at the Swedish/Finnish border, near the village of "Kitkiöjärvi."
Isotope readings show that the Muonionalusta meteorite is more than 4 billion years old and hit Earth about 1 million years ago.
Testimonials
of the cosmos
The meteorite stone on AKVA Meteorite contains several crystallized – indeed almost three-dimensional layers – each of which gives a metallic sheen and an absolutely fantastic play of colors that is close to impossible to capture in pictures.
The fractal pattern on the meteorite is found only in meteorite rock and in the interiors of planets and is formed when iron cools under extreme pressure over millions of years.
Our most ambitious watch to date
In addition to its unique dial, the AKVA METEORITE is one of our most advanced watches to date. The watch can be used for professional diving up to 200 meters underwater, thanks to a long development period during which we have developed tailor-made gaskets and a construction with ultra-fine tolerances. All of this has resulted in a watch that is not only visually stylish but can also perform when the situation demands it.
PURE MECHANICS
AKVA METEORITE is powered by the ultra-slim premium Japanese Miyota high-beat 9039 automatic movement.
